South Korea native and LPGA Tour Hall of Fame member Se Ri Pak has signed on to design an 18-hole course in Malaysia.
Pak will be architect for the second 18 holes planned at the 63-hole Mines Golf City outside the capital city of Kuala Lumpur. It will be her first-ever design effort.
The initial course will be designed by another LPGA legend, Annika Sorenstam.
Developer Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew said the Mines Golf City will be Malaysia’s first luxury green project. It is scheduled for development on 2,100 acres and will eventually include restaurants and shops, a health clinic and spa, medical tourism facilities, an international academic institution, a commercial area and equestrian, golf and scuba-diving academies.
