Golf Inc.’s Renovation of the Year winners once again show that new life can be breathed into a golf course, no matter the condition.
Imagination, ingenuity and hard work all paid off when it came to the makeovers. Courses not only saw aesthetic transformations, but they also underwent improvements to make them more sustainable and to decrease maintenance costs.
This year, Golf Inc. will recognize nine honroees in its May/June issue. Interestingly, a number of municipalities pumped money and effort into improvements. It’s a sign that local governments do indeed feel that golf remains a good investment. All four of the public course honorees are municipal courses. On the private club side, Nicklaus Golf Design placed three courses among the five honorees.
Golf Inc. honors all courses that reach a certain threshold, as rated by the judges.
