Erik Larsen, who worked for the Palmer Course Design Company from 1983 until 2011 and left as Executive Vice President, has switched gears and joined BrightView Golf Maintenance as Business Development Executive in the Southeast U.S.
Larsen is a past president of the American Society of Golf Course Architects, and has done some solo projects since leaving Palmer. His body of work includes the design and construction of golf courses in nearly 100 communities around the world. He is a CLARB certified landscape architect, sits on the advisory board of American Trails, and is on the Recreation-Development Council of the Urban Land Institute.
As the Business Development Executive-Southeast, he will leverage his knowledge of the golf course industry and network of relationships to help promote BrightView, which changed its name from ValleyCrest last year.
“While challenging at times, we love the golf industry,” said Terry McGuire, Vice President of Operations. The fabric of BrightView’s success lies solely within our people and our commitment to deliver real value to our customers. Bringing Erik on board is both a boost to our team as well as a demonstration that we continue to up our stakes in the art, science, and business of golf.”
