Troon Golf has signed management deals to operate the two courses at Indian Wells Resort in Indian Wells, Calif., and will also manage the Gary Player Signature design at Mazagan Beach Resort in El Jadida, Morocco.
The city of Indian Wells and Troon in late May finalized an agreement for Troon Golf to take over management of the Clive Clark-designed Celebrity Course and the Players Course, designed by John Fought. Troon will also operate the city’s new 53,000 sq. ft. clubhouse at the resort called the IW Club. The two Indian Wells courses were previously operated by OB Sports.
The Mazagan Beach Resort in Morocco, being developed by Kerzner International, is scheduled to open this fall. In addition to the Player course, the first phase of the development will include a 500-room hotel, 11 restaurants, a spa, casino, night club and conference center.
