Troon has added three new partnerships and management agreements since the start of the year, expanding its presence in Texas, Kentucky and New Mexico.
The company announced a partnership with Buffalo Creek Golf Club in Rockwall, Texas, and new management roles at World of Golf in Florence, Kentucky, and Turtleback Mountain Golf & Resort in Elephant Butte, New Mexico.
Buffalo Creek, located about 30 minutes east of downtown Dallas, was recently acquired by Legacy Golf Properties LLC of Kerrville, Texas. Troon Golf, the company’s resort and daily-fee division, will provide agronomy, operations and sales and marketing advisory services. The 7,078-yard, par-71 course, designed by Jay Morrish and Tom Weiskopf, opened in 1992 and includes a driving range, putting greens and a full-service grill.

In Florence, the City of Florence selected Troon’s Indigo Golf division to manage World of Golf. Troon will oversee golf operations, agronomy, food and beverage, and sales and marketing. The facility, which opened in 1969 as an executive course, now includes a 2,997-yard, par-58 layout, Toptracer-equipped driving range, indoor Golfzon simulators, mini-golf, instructional programs and year-round practice amenities, along with an on-site restaurant.

Troon also will manage Turtleback Mountain Golf & Resort, a scenic desert property that hosts the New Mexico Open. The resort features an 18-hole, 7,306-yard, par-72 course designed by Dick Phelps, along with a new practice facility and pickleball courts. Long-term plans for the property include a full-service hotel, spa, fitness and tennis facilities, expanded outdoor amenities and more than 1,300 residential home sites.
Troon executives said the company will focus on course conditions, guest experience and operational strategy as the Turtleback property moves into its next phase of development.
