Hidden Valley Country Club in Reno, Nevada, has chosen Troon to take over its management. The company’s private club division, Troon Privé, will handle club operations, food & beverage, agronomy and membership sales and marketing.
Hidden Valley was founded in 1956 and has been recognized as the first private club in the state of Nevada. The 18-hole golf course was originally designed by William Bell, Jr. In 2024, architect Gary Brawley directed a full course renovation that included upgrading the irrigation system, designing new bunkers and reshaping 10 greens. The course features five sets of tees and encompasses almost 7,400 yards.
“Hidden Valley Country Club has an incredible foundation, a storied history, a passionate membership and a golf course that stands among the best in northern Nevada,” said Justin Lake, director of operations for Troon. “Our team is energized to support the Board’s long-term vision for growth and elevating the member experience.”
Aside from the golf course, the club offers amenities such as a heated pool featuring a slide, cubbies, changing areas, shaded concepts and a full-service snack bar. An outside bar and separate children’s pool lie adjacent to the larger pool. Additionally, the club hosts a racquet sports complex with six pickleball courts and one tennis court, as well as a fitness center and dining facilities.
“Our Board is excited to engage Troon’s expertise, resources and proven track record, we believe this collaboration will propel Hidden Valley to new levels of excellence while preserving the welcoming culture our members value,” said James Hardesty, president of the Hidden Valley Country Club Board of Directors.
