Pinnacle Golf Properties assumed management of The Eagles Golf Club in Odessa, Florida, on Sept. 1. The club, located 20 minutes north of Tampa, is Pinnacle’s second management deal in the state, following Serenoa Golf Club in Sarasota.
The Eagles Golf Club features two 18-hole courses, The Lakes and The Forest, making it the only facility in the Tampa Bay area with 36 holes. The club also hosts a full-service clubhouse that caters to the 1,300-home residential community around it.
The club is owned by The Walden Golf Group, which also owns Serenoa. The two companies are working together to expand Walden’s portfolio and elevate the golf experience.
“This is an exciting next step for Walden Golf Group in Florida,” said Steven Schorr, principal at Walden Golf Group. “The Eagles Golf Club is a premier property with tremendous potential, and we’ve already begun investing in the guest experience to elevate this club to its fullest. Pinnacle’s track record of quality and innovation made them the clear choice once again to manage The Eagles.”
Upgrades are already underway. Pinnacle has launched enhanced agronomic programs to improve turf quality and playability, begun repairing and replacing course bridges, and upgraded the irrigation system for more efficient water management. The clubhouse will also see capital improvements to enhance dining and event experiences.
Technology is another focus. Pinnacle has partnered with CourseRev.ai to introduce an AI-powered voice concierge for tee time booking, supported by chatbots for standard questions and dynamic pricing tools to optimize tee-sheet revenue.
“Building on our success at Serenoa earlier this year, we are thrilled to expand into the Tampa Bay market with The Eagles Golf Club,” said David Taylor, chief executive officer of Pinnacle Golf Properties. “We’re honored that Walden Golf Group has entrusted us with another one of their courses, and our team is fully committed to exceeding expectations for both ownership and guests.”
