Troon has acquired ClubUp, a golf technology and service company that specializes in improving the caddie experience. Troon will invest heavily in the company to expand and improve its platform and add features that users have requested. The existing team at ClubUp will continue as part of the transaction, and their business model and operations will not change.
ClubUp’s technology platform has improved communication and made logistics more efficient for the 65 partner clubs and resorts that use it, 25 of which were added this year alone. More than 8,000 independent contractors currently use the service. The platfrom allows for more efficient scheduling and communication with caddies working at partner clubs.
