KemperSports has promoted longtime team member Dave Groelle to national agronomist, a new role supporting the company’s growing portfolio following its acquisition of Touchstone Golf earlier this year.
A 25-year KemperSports veteran, Groelle will lead agronomic support across properties and guide key development projects, drawing on his expertise in turf management, environmental practices and superintendent development.
“Dave’s experience is second to none,” said KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner. “His ability to communicate and coach makes him a great fit to help ensure best-in-class course conditions across our portfolio.”
Groelle began his career as an assistant superintendent at Kemper Lakes and helped build and grow The Glen Club before spending more than two decades at Royal Melbourne in Illinois. He has also served as a regional agronomist, assisting with projects at Tepetonka, The Glen Club, Winnetka Golf Club, Cantigny Golf and the Evans Course.
In his new role, Groelle will also oversee Green to a Tee, KemperSports’ environmental program focused on sustainability in turf, water and energy management.
