Golf Inc. announces inaugural marketing and advertising contest

Golf Inc. is going Madison Avenue. It will recognize and highlight the best marketing and advertising efforts put forth by both private and public golf courses.

It’s common knowledge that golf has had it struggles of late, but promoting clubs by using creative and cutting-edge advertising and marketing techniques can be a game-changer.

Golf Inc. wants to celebrate such work in this inaugural awards contest.

The competition will include eight categories: 1) Collateral material for private clubs 2) Direct marketing campaign from public courses 3) Consumer magazine/publication advertisement (private or public) 4) Newspaper advertisement (private or public) 5) Radio or audio (private or public) 6) Television or video (private or public) 7) Best private club website and 8) Best public course website.

Golf Inc. will secure three or more judges with marketing, advertising and design experience to review all the entries. Golf Inc. will recognize all entries that receive an “outstanding” score from the judges. If there is more than one outstanding entry in a category, the judges will assign a first, second and third place. Other honorees will be designated as honorable mention.

All work must have first appeared in the media between January 1, 2012, and June 1, 2013. Deadline for entries is July 19, 2013.
