Adare Manor awarded 2026 Ryder Cup

J.P.  McManus’ intentions to host the Ryder Cup were written in stone when he bought Adare Manor in 2015. Those dreams came to reality last week when Ryder Cup Europe announced Adare Manor in Limerick, Ireland would host the 2026 Ryder Cup.

“I am delighted that the prestigious Ryder Cup will return to Ireland,” McManus said. “Noreen and I are very happy that Adare Manor was chosen as the venue for this world-renowned tournament in 2026 and we look forward to welcoming our worldwide visitors.”

Tom Fazio designed the resort’s golf course. Fazio’s vision won Renovation of the Year by Golf Inc. magazine earlier this Spring. MacManus asked Fazio to remake all 18 holes. To increase the challenge for high-end golf travelers, Fazio elevated the greens and surrounded them with tough runoff areas.

Guy Kinnings, European Ryder Cup Director, sais it is a  a world-class venue.

“We could not be happier to be able to take golf’s greatest team contest back to Ireland,” he said. [We] are delighted that Adare Manor will be the venue to showcase the next chapter in Ireland’s Ryder Cup story in seven years’ time.”
