Troon adds private club in Columbus, Ohio

Troon Golf was selected to manage Columbus Country Club, a private, family-oriented golf club, located in Columbus, Ohio.

Columbus Country Club is central Ohio’s oldest and most established golf club, having opened in 1903. While best known for its Donald Ross designed championship golf course, it also has a nine-hole executive course along with eight tennis courts, large swimming pool, spacious clubhouse and a diverse entertainment calendar.

“Columbus Country Club is an exceptional private facility with an outstanding reputation,” stated Jim McLaughlin, senior vice president, Troon Privé Operations. “We are honored to have been selected by them and are confident that our management practices will contribute positively to the experience at this historic club.”

The course, originally built in 1907 and then redesigned by Donald Ross nine years later, has been updated over the years to maintain its modern appeal.

“We are excited about our relationship with the Troon Privé organization, they have many resources to support our dedicated staff, and our wonderful facilities in the pursuit of the best member experience in Central Ohio,” stated club president Tom Ewing.
