Honours Golf has been selected to manage Capital City Country Club, an 18-hole private country club in Tallahassee, Florida. The club opened in 1908 and was expanded from 9 to 18-holes in 1936, designed by golf course architect A. W. Tillinghast. “Capital City Country Club is more than a club, it’s a lifestyle,” said Jay Revell, club president, Capital City Country Club. “Our club has been a cornerstone of the Tallahassee community for well over 100 years and now we are excited to work with a great new partner in Troon’s Honours Golf to take the club into a new chapter. Our members live our passion for golf and fellowship every day and we are proud to have a new partner who shares those values. The future of Capital City Country Club is in great hands with our new partners at Honours Golf.” The club also has one of the largest clubhouses in Tallahassee, which caters to wedding receptions, dinner dances, banquets and other prestigious events. The club’s members enjoy three Laykold (hard) courts and two Har-Tru (clay) courts, which are all lighted for evening play in addition to an Olympic-size pool, giving members and guests an ideal place to cool-off and socialize. “We are delighted to be selected as stewards of this historic club and course,” said Bob Barrett, chief executive officer, Honours Golf. “Tallahassee is a vibrant city and we are excited to be a partner in the Tallahassee community.”
