Renovation of the Year Winners Announced

Six private golf courses and three public ones have earned Golf Inc.’s Renovation of the Year honors.

The order of the winners will be announced in the summer issue of Golf Inc.

Golf Inc. runs the annual contest to highlight architects and contractors who have transformed aging courses, making them more playable, eye-catching and efficient. The makeovers include, among other improvements, adding or removing trees, restoring bunkers, reshaping greens and installing new irrigation systems.

The winners include, in alphabetical order: BackTee New Course at Himmerland Golf & Spa Resort in Denmark; The Denver Country Club in Denver, Colo.; the Glaze Meadow Golf Course in Sisters, Ore.; the Luna Vista Golf Course in Dallas, Texas; the Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club in Nichol Hills, Okla.; the Old Tabby Links at Spring Island at Spring Island, S.C.; The Richmond Golf Course in Surrey, England; and the Pelican Marsh Golf Course in Naples, Fla.
