Northstar acquires Chelsea Information Services

Northstar Technologies, a club software provider, acquired Chelsea Information Systems, it announced Oct. 22. 

Chelsea specializes in hosted reservation systems for the Club, homeowners association and property owners association industries, and developed one of the first PC-based reservation systems when it was founded in 1987. It provides reservation systems for golf, tennis, pickleball, and parking and is used by 200 clubs. 

Northstar, founded in 2003 and based in Atlanta, provides software that is in use at more than 600 clubs. But while it has been growing, its activity tracking component was in need of improvement. The acquisition allows it fill that need. 

“Chelsea Reservations offers an exciting opportunity for Northstar to strengthen and expand its service offerings in the reservations area”, said Prasad Suryadevara, CEO of Northstar. “With the seamless integration of Northstar and Chelsea Reservations, clubs will have the best of both worlds”.

Jonas Club Software is the leader in the market with software in use at more than 2,300 clubs.
