Landscapes adds another muni to growing portfolio

Landscapes Golf Management (LGM), a division of Landscapes Unlimited, LLC, will manage Pinecrest Golf Club in Huntley, Illinois.

“We are excited for our new relationship with Landscapes Golf Management” said Thom Palmer, Executive Director, Huntley Park District. “We look forward to having the expertise of not only Landscapes Golf Management, but the entire Landscapes Unlimited team to help meet our commitment to make Pinecrest the pride of the community.”

Landscapes Golf Management has experience working with daily-fee, resort, semi-private and private facilities, but has been growing their municipal portfolio quickly over the last few years.  In 2018, LGM added the trio of courses owned by the City of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Dodge Riverside Golf Club in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Three Crowns Golf Club in Casper Wyoming, the last of which is owned by a unique board empowered to clean-up the site of a former oil refinery.  Pinecrest is the latest addition to Landscapes’ growing publicly-owned portfolio.

During the past 12 months, LGM has added nine new contracts, including its first facility in Illinois— Bull Valley Golf Club in Woodstock.  These latest additions build on several years of strong growth for Landscapes Golf Management.

“We are excited for the opportunity to work with the Huntley Park District,” said Tom Everett, President of Landscapes Golf Management.  “Our recent partnership with Bull Valley Golf Club gives us a stronger presence in the Chicagoland market and will help us serve Pinecrest very well,” Everett said.

Pinecrest Golf Club is located in one of the fastest growing communities in the northwest Chicago area — and is a quick drive from other McHenry County towns such as Crystal Lake, Algonquin and Lake in the Hills.

Located on 130 acres, Pinecrest features 18 holes of championship golf open to the public. Since opening in 1972 Pinecrest has undergone several revisions. There are now five lakes, 63 sand bunkers, and many maturing trees to challenge all levels of player ability.
