High-end muni seeks management company

Richland, Washington is looking for a management company to take over operation of its’ Columbia Point Golf Course, the city announced March 9.

The city’s current management agreement expires at the end of 2010, and it expects to issue an RFP by June.

The City of Richland is located in southeast Washington State with a population of approximately 45,000 residents.  It is part of the rapidly growing Tri-Cities, which include Richland, Kennewick and West Richland located in Benton County, and Pasco located in Franklin County. With a population of 235,700, Tri-Cities is the fourth largest and fastest growing Metropolitan Statistical Area in Washington State.

Columbia Point Golf Course is an upscale, daily fee facility. It did 41,079 rounds in 2009 with total revenue of $1,512,636.
