Concert Golf makes its 27th acquisition with The Club at Renaissance

Concert Golf Partners announced the acquisition of The Club at Renaissance in Fort Myers, Fla., on September 27. The private club brings the total number of clubs under Concert’s purview to 27.

The club features an 18-hole par-72 championship golf course, a 36,000-square-foot clubhouse and a spa and fitness club. The golf course also features an 18-hole par-3 short course called “The 54” that is intermixed with the full-length course.

Concert Golf purchased the club from the Worthington Group, a partnership composed of three families in the area that developed the club and surrounding community in 2003. The club has been financially successful and debt-free for almost its entire existence and has set records in the last few years for club membership and revenues. The Worthington Group deployed an investment plan in 2020 that implemented a pool bar, outdoor dining patio, golf performance academy, fire pit, bocce ball and pickleball courts, and more.

“We are excited to enter the greater Fort Myers/Naples market, one of the fastest growing population centers in the country,” said Matthew Hobbins, Vice President at Concert Golf. “The time we spent with the owners listening to their concerns and hopes for the Club’s future and collaborating on how to execute a seamless transition proved to be invaluable.”

Existing club members will receive reciprocal benefits at Concert Golf’s other clubs. In the past year, Concert Golf has also acquired Glen Oaks Country Club in Des Moines, Iowa; the Sagamore Club in Noblesville, Indiana; and The Players Club at Deer Creek in Omaha, Nebraska.
