Billy Casper Golf new manager for Giants Ridge

Billy Casper Golf has been selected by Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board, with partner Guest Service, Inc., to manage golf operations and recreational offerings for Giants Ridge in Biwabik, Minn.

The State of Minnesota and IRRRB approved the contract for BCG to guide golf course maintenance, marketing, sales, staffing and training, merchandising, food and beverage, golf instruction and financial management for Giants Ridge’s two courses: The Legend and The Quarry.

Operations will be locally-managed by a professional golf and agronomic team, and supported by both a regional and national team that provide expert guidance and direction in all facets of the business.

“Giants Ridge has long been considered one of Minnesota’s top golf destinations,” said Mark Phillips, IRRRB Commissioner. “Billy Casper Golf’s expertise in guest and employee services, recreational programs, and golf course conditioning will enable us to offer a golf experience that is second to none.”

Giants Ridge features two championship layouts. The Legend is carved out of the Superior National Forest. The Quarry is a re-purposed industrial site that pays tribute to the region’s rich mining history.
