Entries are now being accepted for Golf Inc.’s annual Amenities of the Year competition. Winners will be featured in the Jan/Feb 2022 issue of Golf Inc. magazine.
The competition is open to any project completed between October 1, 2020 and September 1, 2021. Previously submitted entries are not eligible for consideration. All submissions are free.
The competition will recognize the clubs and golf courses that have made wide-ranging expansions and upgrades of their facilities during the past year.
Amenities categories include aquatics, fitness, racket, spa, golf entertainment and range. We will also have an “other” category for accommodations and miscellaneous amenities. This category would include outdoor activities at your club or course. (Golden Fork will be a separate competition to be announced later.)
Entries will be judged on the aesthetics, concept/planning and impact of the new amenities on the club’s finances, membership and operational efficiency.
Nominations should explain the amenity and how it has improved the following:
- Private clubs: Membership growth, membership satisfaction, increase in initiation fees, increase in dues, number on wait list
- Daily fee/Municipal: Increase in rounds, increase in course revenue, increase in revenue per round, cash flow improvement
- Resorts: Increase in occupancy rate, increase in greens fees
Deadline for entries is October 20, 2021
