Larry Hirsh is president of Golf Property Analysts, based in Philadelphia & Palm Coast, FL. He and the firm have performed consulting, appraisal, and brokerage assignments on more than 4,000 golf properties in 47 US states, Canada, and the Caribbean. Hirsh authored the Appraisal Institute’s award winning text on golf property valuation (Golf Property Analysis and Valuation – A Modern Approach). A second edition was published in 2023. Hirsh has in The Appraisal Journal, co-authored The Urban Land Institute’s Residential Golf Community Development and authored many articles industry publications. Most recently, Hirsh published The Culture of Golf – Isn’t it just a Game? Hirsh has also lectured at seminars, meetings and universities. A founder and first president of the Society of Golf Appraisers (SGA), Hirsh has developed a golf course and brokered $300± million in golf properties. A graduate of Penn State, Hirsh is married (Judy), the father of 3, is a commercial pilot, flight instructor and competitive golfer.
