John Sanford is developing an 18-hole championship golf course at Ferry Point in the Bronx. Jack Nicklaus is the signature architect. Mike Pignato is in charge of irrigation. This is a large reclamation of a landfill so there will be several infrastructure issues before construction even begins. The 7,100-yard par 71 is currently under construction. The Irish Links style course should open in the fall of 2012.
