Michael Sharp has been named chief executive officer of Northern California-based management company CourseCo.
The appointment is part of a planned transition process that includes company founder Tom Isaak moving to the role of chairman.
The 43-year-old Sharp has been with CourseCo for 15 years and is a partner in the firm. A PGA professional, he has held a number of leadership roles within the golf industry over the years.
Founded in 1988, CourseCo currently operates 33 golf properties in the U.S.
Other CourseCo executives include Tom Bugbee, vice president of operations, and Lance Merrihew, vice president of marketing and sales.
