Jeff Miller
Jeff Miller is a seasoned horticulturist and golf course professional with a degree from Cal Poly Pomona. Raised in the San Diego area, Jeff began his career in the golf maintenance industry in 1991, bringing a strong mechanical background to his work.
He has been a dedicated staff member at Santaluz Club for over 24 years, ascending to the role of the Director of Agronomy in 2015. Throughout his career, Jeff has been an early adopter of innovative technologies, including utilizing lithium battery technology as early as 2012. Since 2015, he has been a leader in implementing robotics within golf course maintenance, deploying well over two dozen autonomous and semi-autonomous mowers on greens, fairways and roughs.
Jeff’s expertise and forward-thinking approach have positioned The Santaluz Club as a “lighthouse” course for Kress North America and a pioneer in the industry. Notably, Santaluz was the first course to deploy Firefly’s new Amp mower to the golf market. He has contributed articles to the USGA Green Section BMP and has been featured in UK’s Greenkeeping Magazine, highlighting his impact and leadership in sustainable and innovative golf course management.
