An 18-hole golf course is just one of the amenities to be included in a $3 billion eco-tourism complex along the Ca Lo River in Vietnam’s Dong Anh and Soc Son districts.
Construction on the 500-hectare development is expected to get underway by the end of the year, according to Nguyen Van Dung, general director of the Vietnam Star Group Joint Stock Co. (VSG). VSG is jointly developing the eco-tourism project along with Swiss-based Tradco Global Engineering and Construction S.A., a division of the multi-national conglomerate Tradco Global Group.
Construction will be spread across four phases of development stretching from 2008 to 2013. The new golf course will be built during the first phase of construction along with a 250-room resort hotel, water park and residential villas. Phase one of development is projected to deliver in late 2011.
Later phases will include additional hotels, residential and apartment complexes.
Approximately one-third of the land in the development area will be dedicated to residential and resort real estate, with the rest reserved for various public facilities.
