Pinnacle Golf Properties growing in Carolinas

Charlotte-based Pinnacle Golf Properties is enjoying growth and hopes to expand its portfolio to 10 to 12 courses over the next few years through acquisitions and management contracts.

The company, run by David Taylor, recently extended a contract with Tega Cay Golf and Conference in Tega Cay South Carolina. It is the second such extension after an original three-year contract. The firm has made significant progress in eliminating operating losses for the City.

"The City is looking forward to the continued relationship with them," said City Manager Grant Duffield. "They have been successful in the golf industry for a long time, and they provide the perfect balance of structure and flexibility.”

Tega Cay has 27 holes of golf and a 22,000 square foot conference and banquet facility. The addition of Tega Cay Pinnacle’s North and South Carolina portfolio stands at six courses located at five separate facilities. The firm also manages Meadowland’s Golf Club in Winston-Salem N.C., Bryan Park Golf & Conference Center in Greensboro N.C., Stoney Creek Golf Club in Stoney Creek N.C., and Green Valley Country Club in Greenville, S.C.

The Bank of Travelers Rest selected Pinnacle to manage Green Valley Country Club in April.  Green Valley was built in 1958 and was designed by George Cobb. It underwent significant renovations in 2001. Other amenities include a beautiful swimming complex and five tennis courts.
