M.J. Mastalir and Real Estate Capital Corporation has put together a group of investors who are interested in getting back into the debt market for golf properties. They are creating a participating loan fund for deals in the $2 to $10 million range. Another group of Mastalir-led high-net worth investors is looking at equity involvement in either rescue capital or pure acquisition capital, including 100 percent acquisitions. Basically, Mastalir and his groups are looking at all deals to see what makes sense. All of these investors
have some form of golf experience.
