Longtime grow-the-game advocate Cathy Harbin will take over later this month as director of Golf 20/20, the World Golf Foundation-backed initiative aimed at increasing golf participation.
Harbin currently serves as general manager and director of leadership development and training at Honours Golf’s two World Golf Village courses in St. Augustine, Fla. She has been at the World Golf Village since the courses opened in 1997.
World Golf Foundation Chief Executive Officer Steve Mona said Harbin will spearhead Golf 20/20’s new “Get Golf Ready” adult player development program launched last month.
A Class A PGA Master Professional and a member of the LPGA and Club Managers Association of America, she has been active in Golf 20/20 since its launch almost nine years ago.
“Cathy’s extensive teaching experience and golf facility management expertise make her ideally suited to help us roll our “Get Golf Ready,” while also providing leadership to other Golf 20/20 initiatives,” Mona said.
Harbin also has held a variety of teaching and management roles with American Golf Corp. and has worked at golf facilities in Indiana and Florida.
