CNL names Rosmarin to head CNL Lifestyle

Gary Rosmarin has been named vice president and managing director at CNL Lifestyle Company, LLC.

CNL Lifestyle Company is the advisor to CNL Lifestyle Properties, a real estate investment trust (REIT) that invests in lifestyle properties such as golf, but also including ski and mountain lifestyle, attractions, and marinas. The REIT plans to spend $350 million this year acquiring strategic assets.

Rosmarin will lead all ownership initiatives for CNL Lifestyle Properties’ golf portfolio. He will also work in strategic coordination with the company’s acquisitions team to expand CNL Lifestyle Properties’ presence in the golf sector.

“Gary’s broad experience in golf operations, development and asset management will make him an excellent addition to our team,” said Byron Carlock, president of CNL Lifestyle Properties, which is headquartered in Orlando, Fla. “He is an outstanding achiever in all arenas and has a proven track record in our industry.”

Prior to joining CNL Lifestyle Properties, Rosmarin spent 30 years in the golf industry with positions in operations, asset management, and brand development. This experience includes time spent at Nicklaus Companies, Toll Brothers, Hyatt Hotels and Resorts and Club Corporation of America.

Rosmarin also worked with CNL Hotels & Resorts, a real estate investment trust, from 2004 to 2008. In his role as vice president of portfolio management, Rosmarin asset managed a collection of iconic properties including the Waldorf-Astoria Collection (LaQuinta Resort & Club and PGA West) and the Doral Resort & Spa.
