Golf course owner and operator Billy Casper Golf (BCG) has been selected to manage Desert Rose Golf Course, a daily fee facility located near Las Vegas.
BCG plans to upgrade all operations at the Desert Rose Golf Course, from property maintenance and golf instruction, to marketing and financial management.
The Desert Rose is a par-71, 6,511-yards course, designed by Joe Lee and Dick Wilson in 1964 and owned by the Clark County Parks & Recreation Department. It originally was known as Winterwood golf Course.
It is known regionally for hosting the Clark County Amateur tournament. It also is the site of the longest recorded drive in a professional tournament, a 515-yard blast by Mike Austin during the 1974 U.S. National Senior Open.
BCG manages about 100 public and private golf courses in 25 states and outside of the U.S.
