Call for Entries: Golf Inc. Development of the Year and Clubhouse of the Year

Call for entries for the 2012 Development of the Year and Clubhouse of the Year awards is officially open.

Brought to you by Golf Inc. magazine, these awards are the most distinguished competitions in the golf industry.

The Development of the Year contest honors the best new golf developments throughout the world. The facilities chosen for this award will distinguish themselves through their ability to achieve the developer’s mission, the routing, course aesthetics and other project amenities.

Developments are eligible if they were completed between Jan. 1, 2010 and Aug. 31, 2011, and were not previously entered into the competition.

Entries must be submitted by Friday, October 28. Winners will be announced online in early December and written about in the Winter issue of Golf Inc.

The Clubhouse Competition recognizes the best new and renovated or remodeled clubhouses across the globe. The facilities chosen for this award will be those that best realize the vision of the development team, the aesthetic appeal of the project and the efficiency and practicality of the floor plan. Entries will be divided into categories for private clubs and daily fee courses. A third category is for remodeled clubhouses – those involving interior or exterior alterations to an existing facility.

Clubhouses are eligible if they were completed between Jan. 1, 2010 and Nov. 1, 2011, and were not previously entered into the competition

Entries must be submitted by Friday, Jan. 13. Winners will be announced online in March and written about in the Spring issue of Golf Inc.

Both contests are free to enter and those who are eligible can submit entries in either or both competitions.
