El Madroño Golf Course and Club, featuring a Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, will be the centerpiece of what is expected to become the largest integrated resort development in the country.
Spread across 923 acres along the Pacific coast, the Seaside Marina Spa & Golf Resort will feature 1,350 residential units in addition to the 18-hole Nicklaus design. The resort will also feature a five-star boutique hotel, spa, village center and beach club, as well as a fully operational, on-site medical center.
Construction is expected to get underway on both the golf course and surrounding resort community late in 2009. Pre-construction prices for a one-bedroom residential unit start from $224,000.
The Nicaraguan government has encouraged developments such as the Seaside Marina Spa and & Golf Resort in an effort to help the nation keep pace with Costa Rica, where property values have exploded thanks to strong interest from foreign investors. The resort is situated just one hour from the nation’s capital as well as its international airport.
