Malaysian developers UEM Land Bhd and United Malayan Land Bhd are partnering on an RM840 million venture that will see residential, commercial and retail components built on a 278-hectare site in Puteri Harbour, Johor.
Puteri Harbour is situated within a 9,712-hectare development area called Nusajaya.
The new development, to be carried out over a 10-year period, will feature high- and low-rise residences, bungalows, corporate towers, retails shops and a variety of five-star resorts.
UEM Land has been actively seeking joint-venture partners for various development interests in Nusajaya, according to spokesmen Wan Abdullah. Abdullah said that a variety of developers from areas such as the United States, Australia, Japan and South Korea have expressed interest in developing everything from retirement communities and golf courses to commercial and industrial villages within the region.
