Troon adds two courses

Troon added two new contracts in early March — Lakeshore Yacht & Country Club in Cicero, New York and Coyote Ridge Golf Club, an 18-hole semi-private club in Carrollton, Texas just north of Dallas.

Troon Privé, the private club operating division of Troon, will oversee the golf operations, golf course agronomy, membership sales and marketing, and the club’s food and beverage operations for Lakeshore Yacht & Country Club.

The Club was established in 1860 and sits on 150 acres on the south shore of Oneida Lake.  The club’s par-72, 18-hole golf course originally opened for play in 1928 and has since been renovated by golf course architect Stephen Kay. Lakeshore’s clubhouse includes a golf shop, a restaurant and banquet facilities.

“Lakeshore Yacht & Country Club is a gorgeous property with an active membership,” said Archie Cart, operations director, Troon. “We’re thrilled to be engaged with this historic club. Our Privé team will look to enhance the service levels and improve the overall member experience.”

In addition to golf, Lakeshore Yacht and Country Club members also enjoy other amenities including a swimming pool complex and a marina offering dockage space for yachts and boats.

“We plan to develop the land adjacent to the golf course by adding residential opportunities, mixed-use commercial space, a 200-key boutique hotel and significantly enhance the marina,” said Seamus Lyman, Senior Partner & General Counsel for Hart-Lyman Companies, owner/occupant of Lakeshore Yacht & Country Club.

Coyote Ridge Golf Club opened for play in 1999 and is a George Williams design. In 2005, the Sam Moon Group purchased and renovated the golf course. Course enhancements included bunker renovations, the addition of trees and new tee boxes, which helped to lengthen the golf course.

“Coyote Ridge Golf Club is a stunning property,” said Troon Golf division President Mitch Harrell. “The golf course and clubhouse are both outstanding. Our team is looking forward to working with the Sam Moon Group and the onsite team to further elevate operations, food and beverage, agronomy and the overall guest experience.”

Coyote Ridge Golf Club’s 26,000 square-foot clubhouse features a well-appointed golf shop; men’s and women’s locker rooms; two private dining and meeting rooms; The Grand Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 300 guests; and The Grill 19 restaurant and bar. The Grill 19 is open for lunch and dinner, while providing guests with beautiful golf course views.

“We are delighted to be partnering with Troon to continue fulfilling our vision for Coyote Ridge,” said Sam Moon, owner of Coyote Ridge Golf Club. “Troon is the proven leader in club management and the ideal organization to elevate our premier experience to even greater heights.”
