OB Sports acquires Premier Golf Centers

Months after OB Sports Golf Management became part of of the Troon family of brands, the Scottsdale, Ariz.-based company has made an acquisition.

It has acquired Seattle-based Premier Golf Centers LLC, with a management portfolio that includes 11 golf courses within six municipalities in the Puget Sound region, including the cities of Seattle, Bellevue, Everett, Lynnwood, Marysville and Bellingham.

“OB Sports and Premier Golf have been successfully working together as operational partners since 2018," said C.A. Roberts, president, OB Sports. “This acquisition is part of a designed succession plan that provides a solid foundation for long-term success for all involved. The transition will be smooth and seamless for Premier’s valued clients, team members, and loyal customers.”

Premier’s Seattle-based office will remain and continue to serve as its headquarters, while also supporting current and future OB Sports and Troon clients throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Current executive and course-level Premier Golf associates will continue as Premier Golf employees under the added support and supervision of OB Sports. Customers at Premier Golf courses will continue to experience the same quality services, card programs, course conditions, and food and beverage options they enjoy today.

“I am so pleased and excited about the next chapter for Premier Golf,” said Bill Schickler, founder, Premier Golf Centers.  “Our clients, associates and golfers will benefit greatly from the additional support and resources of OB Sports and their parent company, Troon.”

OB Sports and Premier Golf Centers established a working relationship in 2018. Under the leadership of OB’s Senior Vice President Ryan Whitney, the organizations have been working together to enhance customer services and financial performance of the Premier Golf portfolio.

“The Troon family continues to grow,” said Tim Schantz, president and chief executive officer, Troon. “We extend a heartfelt welcome to all Premier Golf associates and the golfers who enjoy Premier Golf-managed locations. Golf continues to thrive throughout the Pacific Northwest, and Troon looks forward to growing our presence in the region by providing readily available resources to existing and prospective clients. Much like the recent acquisition of Green Golf Partners jump-started our expansion efforts in the Midwest, we are happy to add Premier Golf to the Troon family.”
