The National Golf Course Owners Association (NGCOA) and RCSU (RCSUniversity), the virtual training division of RCS Hospitality Group (RCS), will be providing NGCOA members with curated hospitality training resources. These resources are designed to help them to elevate their brands and grow their golf businesses. Membership of the NGCOA includes owners and operators of daily-fee, semi-private, private and resort courses.
Whitney Reid Pennell, founder and president of RCS Hospitality Group, said not only does the partnership make RCSU virtual training accessible to the NGCOA members, she developed four new virtual courses specifically for association members
RCSU will also be the founding sponsor of NGCOA’s new “Hospitality Center,” a web-based portal, which will house resources including, but not limited to, videos, podcasts and webinars on a variety of topics for managers and employees of public and private golf facilities.
NGCOA members will have complimentary and exclusive access to two online lessons immediately, and soon will have access to four custom courses co-produced by NGCOA and RCS.
RCS will also become a member of the NGCOA Smart Buy Marketplace, the association’s purchasing program which offers discounted rates, rebates and value-added packages not available anywhere else. Visit ngcoa.org/smartbuy for details.
“One solution to the perception, cultural and retention issues in our industry is raising the hospitality quotient,” said Jay Karen, NGCOA’s chief executive officer. We can help courses dispel the myths (and some truths) of the unwelcoming environment in golf by getting more frontline staff trained in good old-fashioned hospitality. We are excited about our partnership with RCS, and the amazing tools we can put in the hands of our members.”
“We are delighted to be the founding sponsor of NGCOA’s new Hospitality Center,” said Reid Pennell, founder and president of RCS Hospitality Group. “At RCS, we believe training is not something you did, but something you do; virtual training is a natural extension of our popular in-person training courses.”
RCSU was designed to help busy managers provide a consistent, quality training program for high-turnover positions and deepen their bench of leaders as they build management skills using RCSU, noted Reid Pennell.
Developing managers and staff in the club industry has been Reid Pennell’s lifelong passion. “I am confident our virtual courses, as well as our suite of other consulting and training services, will be a great benefit to NGCOA members,” she said.
RCSU, the virtual training division of RCS Hospitality Group, provides accessible, comprehensive and uniquely interactive virtual training courses for hospitality service and leadership skills to private clubs, public golf courses, casinos, luxury hotels, spas, fine dining restaurants and high-end resorts around the world.
