Golf Inc Summit to focus on Experience Economy

The experience economy is changing the way golf courses and private clubs think about their role and build loyal customers. It’s a trend that the Golf Inc. Strategies Summit will explore in-depth this September.

The Golf Inc. Summit, which will celebrate 31 years in operation, will be held Sept. 23-25that The Ritz Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee, Ga.  It will feature 27 sessions, including several that will delve into the experience economy and what it means for golf courses and private clubs.

“There has been a shift from selling tee times or memberships to delivering meaningful experiences,” said Jack Crittenden, Editor In Chief of Golf Inc. “We are bringing the leaders who are the forefront of this thought process to share their strategies and innovative ideas.”

An opening keynote on Sept. 23 will look at the changing demographics of golf and club customers and explain what it means for attendees. The CEO keynote on Sept. 24thwill further delve into the success that TopGolf and other operators have had by delivering exceptional entertainment experiences.

“Services and goods have increasingly become commoditized, but experiences are memorable,” said Kris Strauss, SVP of Sales and Marketing at Troon, one of the featured speakers. “Attendees will learn about the Experience Economy and how they can create experiences that differentiate their course from their competitors — competitors in both the golf space and those competing for guests discretionary time and dollars.”
