Former WCI leaders start own management company

Rick Rainville and two other former golf executives from WCI Communities have started their own management company, KOVA Golf Management.

“We provide our clients with a competitive edge,” said Rainville, President and Managing Partner. “Our experiences, philosophies, and offerings make us different from others in this business. KOVA Golf has the ability to leverage a variety of infrastructure platforms to deliver unique resources to our clubs — in finance and accounting, human resources, agronomy, property management, and investments.”

KOVA Golf Management is an affiliate of KOVA Partners, LLC, a privately owned, full-service real estate firm and real estate investment fund manager based in Naples, Fla.

Rainville worked for WCI for 23 years, most recently as general manager of Tiburón Golf Club in Naples. He previously worked as General Manager of Hammock Bay Golf & Country Club in Naples.

He is joined by Jim Magnusson, Executive Vice President of Business Development and Sales. Magnusson served as the Revenue Development Director at WCI Communities, responsible for approximately $91 million in revenue for all WCI golf clubs.  In 2011, he joined Tiburón Golf Club at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort, Naples as the Director of Marketing, and Sales.

The new company’s third partner is Tracy Bradbury, Vice President of Food and Beverage Operations. She was recently Director of Food & Beverage at Tiburón Golf Club.

“We know that talent acquisition and professional development have a far greater impact on the success of a club than often is realized,” Rainville said. “It’s people who create memorable experiences for members and turn those members into members for life. Partnering with our clients and investing in people is at the heart of what we do, and we know that a commitment to both delivers sustained results.”
