Golf Course Superintendents Association of America Chief Operating Officer J.D. Dockstader announced he will be resigning effective Sept. 29, to pursue other career interests.
Dockstader joined GCSAA in January 2014 as chief business development officer and transitioned to COO in June 2015. He came to GCSAA after serving the previous seven years as director of commercial facilities for the city of Mesa, Ariz.
“On behalf of the staff and our members, I thank J.D. for his many contributions to GCSAA,” said CEO Rhett Evans. “His strong work ethic and innovation benefitted us all, and we wish him the very best as he moves on to the next chapter of his career.”
Dockstader was responsible for directing key member programs, marketing, and building new partnerships and business development opportunities for the association.
“I have enjoyed the opportunity to make an impact on the organization, both financially and operationally, while developing relationships with our members, clients and others in the golf industry,” Dockstader said. “I strongly believe that GCSAA is positioned to do amazing things that will not only impact the future of the golf course management profession, but the golf industry as a whole.”
