Changes announced for clubhouse design firms

Two high-profile clubhouse design firms recently announced operational changes, with one opening a new office and the other finalizing a merger.

The Chambers private club planning and design firm in August opened a new office in Naples, Fla.

“We have an incredible opportunity to aid the Florida private club market in its growth and development,” said Rick Snellinger, Chambers president and CEO. “Many Florida clubs are ahead of the curve with regard to private club trends and we feel our thought leadership and expertise in helping clubs plan for the future are a perfect fit for this area.”

It’s the fifth regional office for Chambers. The firm also has offices in Dallas, Minneapolis and Washington, D.C., in addition to its Baltimore headquarters.

Executive Vice President Skip Avery will head the Naples office.

In Atlanta, the principals of Kuo Diedrich Architects have merged their firm with Chi Design Group to form Kuo Diedrich Chi. Kuo and Diedrich, who worked with Chi Design founder John “JC” Chi on numerous projects over the past 25 years, said the merger was a logical step given their common history and in keeping with their long-term goal of providing clients with a broader range of design services.

The firms have worked on hundreds of high-profile projects over the years in the U.S. and internationally.
