Brian Gaines has joined RDC Golf Croup as vice president of sales and marketing. The 25-year club industry veteran will oversee the membership sales efforts at RDC’s five owned or managed properties along the East Coast that include Shackamaxon Country Club in Scotch Plains, N.J., and the renowned Forsgate Country Club in Monroe, N.J., among others. Gaines previously operated his own consulting services company, and worked for ClubCorp and KemperSports.
KemperSports promoted Doug Hellman to senior vice president of business development and Dave Goltz to vice president and corporate counsel. Hellman joined KemperSports in 2005, and has built a reputation for developing exceptional client relationships and expanding the company’s third party management business. In 2011, Hellman was responsible for the addition of several new facilities to the portfolio.
Dave Goltz joined KemperSports in 2011 and in his short time with the company has proved to be a valuable asset by consulting on legal and business affairs. With more than 20 years of experience in the private sector and in-house, Goltz has extensive knowledge in employment law, human resources management, risk management and administration for both large and small organizations.
Also, KemperSports hired Vince Juarez as General Manager of Fox Lake Country Club in Fox Lake, Ill. Fox Lake is an 18-hole daily-fee golf facility established in 1925 and owned by the Petrungaro family. Prior to joining KemperSports, Juarez served as Head Golf Professional and General Manager of Antioch Golf Club, a daily-fee facility in Antioch, Ill.
KemperSports also hired Mark Aulerich as General Manager of The Prairie Club in Valentine, Neb. Aulerich brings more than 20 years of experience managing premier golf properties in Wyoming, Utah and Arizona. Most recently, he served as General Manager at Shooting Star, a Tom Fazio design located at the base of the Jackson Hole Ski Resort.
National Golf Management, the newly merged management company based in Myrtle Beach, S.C., hired Steve Mays as vice president of marketing and sales. Mays had been vice president of new business development at LHWH Advertising Agency in Myrtle Beach and spent 13 years with Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday. NGM was formed by the merger of Myrtle Beach National and Burroughs and Chapin Golf.
NGM also hired Scott Justman as vice president of golf operations. Justman has been a head professional for five years, with the last three years as head golf professional of both The Landing and Great Waters courses at Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Ga. In his new role, Justman will oversee the professional golf staff, inventory and facilities at each of the 23 NGM courses.
Honours Golf Company appointed Charbett C. Fincher as director of membership sales. Fincher is a seasoned sales professional with over 27 years of experience in the hospitality and private club industries. Prior to joining Honours Golf, Fincher served as southeast regional membership trainer and director of membership for Club Corp and The Summit Club, in Birmingham, Ala.
