BCG adds Lake Bluff GC

Billy Casper Golf announced it was unanimously selected by the Lake Bluff Park District to manage Lake Bluff Golf Club on Chicago’s scenic North Shore.

“Our team will further separate Lake Bluff Golf Club as a cut above other recreation options,” said Peter Hill, chairman and CEO of BCG.  “Innovative programs and events will target new audiences and strengthen golfers’ loyalties with a goal of meaningfully increasing rounds and revenue.”

Overseeing many facets of the daily-fee operation just west of Lake Michigan, BCG will direct sales, marketing, public relations, staffing and training, merchandising, food and beverage, special events, golf instruction and financial management.

“Billy Casper Golf is primed to enhance golfers’ experiences and, in turn, the park district’s returns,” said Rob Douglass, president of the Board of Commissioners for Lake Bluff Park District.  “Great things are in store for Lake Bluff Golf Club and the community is excited about the partnership.”

Established in 1968, Lake Bluff features a 6,589-yard championship course with four sets of tees for golfers of all abilities and is known for being walker-friendly. It features narrow, tree-lined fairways and smooth, bentgrass greens. It also has a practice facility that includes a driving range, putting green and short-game area.

Founded more than 25 years ago in cooperation with the late golf legend Billy Casper, the company is the largest owner-operator of golf courses, country clubs and resorts in the U.S. with more than 150 properties in 29 states.
