Mike Whitton is a distinguished transactional attorney and trusted advisor, well regarded for his strategic insights across business life cycles. He provides holistic advice that aligns with clients’ broader business goals, risks, and opportunities. Mike has a national reputation as a go-to advisor in transactions involving the purchase, sale and development of golf courses, country clubs, marinas, hotels, and resort properties, skillfully negotiating tournament, hospitality, and sponsorship agreements with private clubs, the PGA, and the USGA. He advises public and private companies, real estate investment trusts, and financial institutions on complex real estate matters across the U.S., assisting with joint ventures, portfolio acquisitions, real estate development, private equity investments, strategic alliances, and debt and equity financing and restructuring.
